DescriptionYou are cordially invited to attend the 7th Annual Gala & Awards Dinner hosted by the University of Southern California Black Social Work Caucus. Semi-formal attire is requested. Each year the Black Social Work Caucus (BSWC) of the University of Southern California continues to advance the cause of building solidarity among its members; the USC School of Social Work faculty, administration, staff and student body; the university community and the Black community-at-large by encouraging the tolerance of diversity, creativity, self determination, ethical practices and minority leadership. Through our events and community service efforts, i.e., new student summer welcome reception, brown bags, scholarship fundraisers, Aids Walk, Black faculty recognition ceremony, gospel concert, Project Angel Food, Urban League Christmas toy drive, etc., we have strived to enlighten, inspire, encourage and create awareness of Black people in the African Diaspora to the USC community-at-large. As we near the end of the term, we are currently in the process of making arrangements for our 7th Annual Gala Awards Ceremony. Although we have made copious efforts to fundraise, we have not raised enough to carry out the event, which is so deserving of all of the hard work of its committed members. Today, you can make an immediate difference in ensuring the success of the BSWC 7th Annual Awards Ceremony. By giving a generous gift of $30 or more, you can help us secure the venue, catering services, certificates and awards, decorations, disc jockey services and more. A gift of $30 or more buys you a ticket for the ceremony, as well as special recognition. Additionally, your donation of $30 will be used as start-up capital for the 2008–2009 incoming BSWC board. Please RSVP by emailing Hermeisha Green at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and place donations in a sealed envelope in the BSWC mailbox located in the MRF mailroom (second floor).Venue![]()
